I am looking for a captain to transport my boat from La to Tx. There will be one passenger, the boat is a 37ft diesel powerboat that is currently docked in New Orleans.

The yacht is a pristine 2022 Vanquish 58, renowned for its elegance, performance, and comfort. It serves as a leisure vessel for a private family, primarily used for excursions in the North Shore area, Connecticut, New York City, and seasonal stays in the Hamptons and Sag Harbor.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Full-Time Yacht Captain to command the Vanquish 58 for the summer of 2024. The Captain will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the yacht, including full maintenance oversight, operational readiness, and providing on-demand captain services. The role requires someone with exceptional maritime skills, a deep understanding of luxury vessel operations, and a commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for the family.

Join existing Tavern Island team as Boat Drivers and Caretaker. This dual-role position offers both full-time and part-time, year-round opportunities working alongside the existing team.

Boating duties will encompass transporting family, visitors and employees between the mainland and island, engaging in fishing and water sport activities (jet ski, wake boarding), all while ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience. Boat Management includes maintaining three boats (22 to 28 feet) and a small rib, ensuring top condition and safety. Checking weather forecast for planning.

CARETAKER DUTIES
Participate in various caretaking tasks and general maintenance across the island.

WORK SCHEDULE
Primary hours are from 3 pm to 9 pm on weekdays in summer extended hours on weekends, particularly during the summer season.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated excellence in boating skills, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
Reliable, responsible and energetic, capable of handling various tasks.
Captain’s license is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
Excellent auto driving record, showcasing responsibility and reliability.
A proactive, can-do approach to daily challenges and island logistics.
