Our personnel specialize in high resolution surveys for inland, nearshore and offshore underwater investigations, including detailed dam and underwater infrastructure assessments, site surveys, engineering, archaeological and benthic habitat investigations, and remediation efforts, as well a vessel charter services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Management, maintenance and operation of vessels Near and offshore management and operation of vessels on charter Navigate vessels on survey transects using navigation software Pilot vessels with both fixed mounted and towed systems for bathemetric and geophysical surveys including (single and multibeam) sidescan, subbottom, magnetometer, video, etc

Operate vessels during sediment sampling with vibracore and gravity/piston coring systems as well as grab samplers Towing trailers and boats to and from job sites all over the US Candidate must be competent with towing trailers Employee will work long hours in the field and lift heavy objects (50 lbs.), traveling to project sites and offshore for extended periods (4 – 12 weeks) Work closely with engineers, oceanographers, geophysicists, geoscientists and hydrographers EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION: More than 5 years’ experience operating and maintaining boats USCG 100 TN Captains license or larger Must have strong communication skills and be able to work both independently and on as part of a team Experience working on small boats and large vessels required Willingness and ability to travel and work in the field as well as offshore for weeks at a time (work is on call and when available) Some physical requirements apply (lifting 50 lbs.)
