- Special Comments:
I have worked on boats along the eastern seaboard, Caribbean, Canada, Hawaii, Gulf of Alaska, and Bering Sea with extensive experience in the Great Lakes and Bahamas. I have transited from Milwaukee to Florida via the St. Lawrence Seaway and east coast 4 times and once via the Erie Canal. All vessels range from 40′ to 137′ of both single and twin-screw propulsion (some with thrusters). I have experience in all types of waterways. I have sailed open-ocean passages twice to Bermuda, Greater Antilles to Central America and commercial fishing and research vessels on the Grand Banks and Bering Sea. I have time on expeditionary and research vessels, fishing vessels, private yachts, schooners, sloops, as well as sailing and piloting tour and charter boats in urban and extremely busy waterways. I run an American Sailing school in SE Wisconsin training people to sail, cruise, liveaboard and bareboat sailboats. I hold a Marine Radio Operators Permit. I come from a professional background in Marine Biology and policy holding a BS degree in Biology and a Masters in Water Science and Policy. I enjoy teaching people about boat handling, navigation, seamanship and science and I am good at it. I appreciate curiosity and willingness to learn/can-do attitude. I have positive reviews on popular websites and maritime references to provide to prospective clients. I have many happy referrals to provide and look forward to helping you with your maritime interests.
